Welcome
During those last few years of her life, my mom spent quite a lot of time organizing her notes on her (rather large) extended Southern family. She had rather goodly database of names, addresses, relationships and stories. Unfortunately, much of her work was contained in an old family tree program and the data files have long since been lost or unusable.
It's now going on elven years since she passed away and I have finally gotten the genealogy bug. I'm a trained historian having done work in several areas (particularly, the Holocaust and Oregon Trail) so when I was asked to help with a local family's search for their ancestors, it occured to me, that I should carry on mom's work.
